Josiah
dzho-SAI-uh
Who is Josiah?
Josiah became king of Judah at eight years old and reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem (2 Kings 22:1). He did what was right in the sight of the LORD (2 Kings 22:2), removed the idols and abominations from the land (2 Chronicles 34:33), and was remembered as a king who turned to the LORD with all his heart like no king before him (2 Kings 23:25). He was the king during whose reign the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:2).
