Who is Hanani?
Hanani is the name of several men in Scripture. The best known is Hanani the seer, who rebuked Asa king of Judah for relying on Syria rather than the LORD (2 Chronicles 16:7), and whose son was the prophet Jehu (1 Kings 16:1, 2 Chronicles 19:2). Others bearing the name include a son of Heman among the temple musicians (1 Chronicles 25:4) and a brother of Nehemiah given charge over Jerusalem (Nehemiah 1:2, Nehemiah 7:2).
