Who is Hiel?
Hiel was a man of Bethel who rebuilt Jericho during the reign of Ahab. He laid its foundation at the cost of his firstborn Abiram and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, fulfilling the word of the LORD spoken by Joshua (1 Kings 16:34).
