Mareshah
Mah-reh-SHAH
What is Mareshah?
Mareshah was a city listed among the towns of Judah's inheritance (Joshua 15:44). It was one of the cities of Judah named in 2 Chronicles 11:8, and Zerah the Ethiopian came against it with a great host when Asa was king (2 Chronicles 14:9). The name is also used in Judah's genealogy, as with the sons of Mareshah, the father of Hebron (1 Chronicles 2:42).
