Who was Jephunneh?
Jephunneh was the father of Caleb, the faithful spy of the tribe of Judah who searched out the land (Numbers 13:6, Numbers 14:6) and was later given Hebron for an inheritance (Joshua 14:13). A different Jephunneh appears in the genealogy of Asher as a son of Jether (1 Chronicles 7:38).
