Who is Jair?
Jair is a name held by more than one man in Scripture. One was a son of Manasseh who took towns in Bashan and named them after himself, Havoth-jair (Numbers 32:41). Another was Jair the Gileadite, one of Israel's judges, who led the nation for twenty-two years and had thirty sons (Judges 10:3).
