What Does God Say About Restlessness?
Restlessness is hard to name and impossible to ignore. You are tired but cannot settle. You scroll, pace, switch tasks, check the phone again, and none of it lands. Scripture treats this as a soul condition before it is a schedule condition. The Bible's answer to a restless heart is not more stimulation, and not even more sleep. It is a Person who calls Himself rest. These verses are an invitation to stop circling and sit down.
6 Scriptures for Restlessness?
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Matthew 11:28-29
Jesus does not say come to a method. He says come unto me. The rest He offers has a strange shape, a yoke, which is a working instrument. Rest in His kingdom is not the absence of load. It is the right load, carried next to Someone meek and lowly who sets the pace.

Psalm 46:10
Be still is a command, and it arrives in a psalm about mountains falling into the sea. God does not wait for calm circumstances to ask for a calm heart. Know that I am God carries a quiet second clause: and you are not. That may be the most restful sentence in the language.

Isaiah 26:3
Perfect peace in the Hebrew is shalom shalom, peace doubled. The condition attached is not a solved life. It is a stayed mind, one that keeps returning to God the way a compass needle keeps returning north. Your mind is staying on something right now. The only question is what.

Psalm 23:2-3
He maketh me to lie down. Sheep will not lie down while anxious, hungry, or harassed; a shepherd has to settle the flock before rest is even possible. David is saying God does that for him. Still waters, restored soul. Rest is something the Shepherd produces, and you are allowed to receive it.

Isaiah 30:15
Here is the offer in full: returning, rest, quietness, confidence. And here is the saddest phrase in Isaiah: and ye would not. Israel preferred fast horses and foreign alliances, motion instead of trust. Restlessness often refuses rest because rest feels like doing nothing. God calls it strength.

Psalm 131:2
A weaned child no longer climbs into its mother's lap demanding anything. It climbs up just to be near her. David says he quieted his own soul into that posture, which means it can be done. Not every desire has to be fed tonight. Some just need a lap.
