What Does God Say About Pornography?
Most people who search this question are not curious. They are tired. The cycle of use, shame, and resolve has run enough laps that you want to know what God actually says, not what the internet assumes He says. Here is the short version: He is against what it does to you, and He is for you. Scripture treats the eyes as a doorway and the heart as the house, and it fights this battle at both. These verses are strategy and mercy in equal measure.

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
Matthew 5:27-28
Jesus moves the line from the act to the look, which means He addressed pornography before there was a word for it. Lust is not appreciation gone slightly long. It is adultery rehearsed in the heart. He sets the bar this high because the heart is where you actually live, and that is where He wants to meet you.

Job 31:1
Job made a treaty with his own eyes. Not a mood or an intention, a covenant, something deliberate and stated in advance. He decided what he would not look at before the moment of looking arrived. That is the whole strategy. The decision made at noon is stronger than the one made at midnight.

David is writing house rules for himself. No wicked thing set before my eyes, meaning placed there deliberately, chosen. Screens did not exist, but the principle did. You control what you set in front of yourself. Guard the placing and you will fight the looking far less.

Make not provision for the flesh means cut the supply lines. Do not stock the pantry for a hunger you are trying to starve. The unlocked phone at 1 a.m., the app you keep reinstalling, the browser nobody sees: that is provision. Grace forgives the fall. Wisdom removes the ladder.

Two promises hide in this verse. Your temptation is common, which kills the lie that you are uniquely broken. And every temptation comes with an exit built in. The way of escape is usually early and unglamorous: close the device, leave the room, call someone. Look for the door before the hallway narrows.

Cleanse me like You said You would, and then help me cut the provision, the open doors I keep leaving for myself. Give me one person I can be honest with.
