What is Shunammite?

Shunammite designates a woman from the town of Shunem. Scripture applies it to two women: Abishag, the young woman brought to care for the aged King David (1 Kings 1:3), and the hospitable woman who lodged the prophet Elisha and whose son he restored to life (2 Kings 4:12, 2 Kings 4:36).
