Joram

Who is Joram?

Joram is the name of more than one man in Scripture, but most of the cited passages refer to Joram son of Ahab, king of Israel, who fought Hazael of Syria and was killed by Jehu, who shot him through the heart in his chariot (2 Kings 9:14, 2 Kings 9:24). The name also belongs to Joram (Jehoram) king of Judah in the royal line from Asa to Uzziah (Matthew 1:8), and to a son of Toi of Hamath sent to bless David (2 Samuel 8:10).
