What is Gihon?
Gihon is the name of the second of the four rivers flowing out of Eden, described as compassing the whole land of Ethiopia (Genesis 2:13). It is also the name of a spring near Jerusalem where Solomon was brought to be anointed king (1 Kings 1:38), and whose upper watercourse King Hezekiah later diverted into the city of David (2 Chronicles 32:30).
