What is Girgashites?
The Girgashites were one of the Canaanite nations living in the land God promised to Abraham's descendants. They appear in the recurring lists of peoples Israel was to dispossess, named in God's covenant with Abram (Genesis 15:21) and among the seven nations Israel would drive out (Deuteronomy 7:1, Joshua 3:10).
