Who is Eliab?
Eliab is a name shared by several men in Scripture. The best known is Eliab, the firstborn son of Jesse and eldest brother of David (1 Samuel 17:13, 1 Chronicles 2:13), whom Samuel first mistook for the LORD's anointed (1 Samuel 16:6). Others include Eliab the leader of Zebulun (Numbers 1:9) and Eliab the Reubenite whose sons Dathan and Abiram rebelled against Moses (Numbers 26:8-9).
