Trophimus
TROH-fih-mus
Who is Trophimus?
Trophimus was a Gentile Christian from Ephesus and a traveling companion of Paul (Acts 20:4). Because Jewish opponents had seen this Ephesian with Paul in Jerusalem, they falsely assumed Paul had brought him into the temple (Acts 21:29). Paul later mentions leaving Trophimus behind sick at Miletus (2 Timothy 4:20).
