Troas
TRO-ahs
What is Troas?
Troas was a seaport city in northwest Asia Minor where Paul saw his night vision of a man of Macedonia pleading, Come over into Macedonia and help us (Acts 16:8). Paul returned there more than once, finding an open door to preach (2 Corinthians 2:12) and later asking Timothy to bring the cloak and parchments he had left with Carpus at Troas (2 Timothy 4:13).
