Who is Timothy?
Timothy was Paul's close companion and protege, whom Paul called his own son in the faith (1 Timothy 1:2). Paul wrote him two letters of instruction and charge (1 Timothy 1:18, 2 Timothy 1:2) and named him with himself in greetings such as Philemon 1:1.
