Who is Sosthenes?
Sosthenes is named as the chief ruler of the synagogue, whom all the Greeks took and beat before the judgment seat, while Gallio cared for none of those things (Acts 18:17). A Sosthenes is also named as our brother alongside Paul in the opening of his letter (1 Corinthians 1:1). Scripture does not state whether the two are the same man.
