Shalmaneser

Who is Shalmaneser?
Shalmaneser was a king of Assyria who came up against Hoshea, king of Israel, so that Hoshea became his servant and gave him presents (2 Kings 17:3). He also came up against Samaria and besieged it (2 Kings 18:9).
