Who is Sennacherib?
Sennacherib was the king of Assyria who invaded Judah in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah and captured its fortified cities (2 Kings 18:13). After his army besieged Jerusalem and Hezekiah prayed for deliverance, Sennacherib withdrew and returned to Nineveh (2 Kings 19:36), where he was later killed by his own sons.
