Parath
PAH-rath
What is Parath?
Parath is the Hebrew name of the river the King James text calls Euphrates, where Jeremiah was told to take his girdle and hide it in a hole of the rock (Jeremiah 13:4). He returned after many days, digged, and found the girdle marred and profitable for nothing (Jeremiah 13:7).
