Nineveh
NIHN-eh-veh
What is Nineveh?
Nineveh was a great Assyrian city, built by Asshur (Genesis 10:11). God sent Jonah to preach against its wickedness, calling it an exceeding great city of three days' journey (Jonah 1:2, Jonah 3:3), and the prophet Nahum later pronounced a burden of judgment against it (Nahum 1:1).
