Who is Nebuzaradan?
Nebuzaradan was the captain of the guard for Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, who entered Jerusalem in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar (2 Kings 25:8). He carried the remnant of the people away captive to Babylon and left only the poor of the land behind (Jeremiah 39:9, Jeremiah 39:10), and he released the prophet Jeremiah from his chains at Ramah (Jeremiah 40:1).
