Moab
MO-ab
Who is Moab?
Moab was the son of Lot's elder daughter, born after the destruction of Sodom, and the father of the Moabites (Genesis 19:37). His name also belongs to the land and nation of Moab, which Israel passed near on the way to the Promised Land: they camped in the plains of Moab by Jericho, and it was there that Moses died and was buried (Numbers 22:1, Deuteronomy 34:5).
