Maacah

Who is Maacah?
Maacah was a wife of King David and the mother of his son Absalom; she was the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur (2 Samuel 3:3). The same name also belongs to a small Aramean kingdom whose king sent a thousand men to fight David alongside the Ammonites (2 Samuel 10:6).
