Kerioth

KAIR-ee-oth

What is Kerioth?

Kerioth names two different places in the KJV. One is a town among the uttermost cities of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward, listed with Hazor, Hadattah, and Hezron (Joshua 15:25). The other is in Moab, whose palaces the LORD said fire would devour (Amos 2:2), and which Jeremiah's oracle against Moab names among the cities of the land of Moab (Jeremiah 48:24) and declares taken, with the strong holds surprised (Jeremiah 48:41).

Meaning: cities (Hebrew)
