Kedar
KEH-dar
What is Kedar?
Kedar was the second son of Ishmael (Genesis 25:13), and the name became that of the Arabian people descended from him. Scripture pictures them as tent-dwelling nomads with great flocks and skilled archers in the eastern wilderness (Isaiah 60:7, Isaiah 21:17), and the psalmist laments dwelling in their tents (Psalms 120:5).
