Who is Hosea?
Hosea, the son of Beeri, was a prophet whose ministry spanned the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and Jeroboam king of Israel (Hosea 1:1). The LORD commanded him to take a wife of whoredoms, a living picture of Israel's unfaithfulness to God (Hosea 1:2).
