Who is Haman?
Haman was the Agagite whom King Ahasuerus promoted above all his princes and to whom he gave his signet ring (Esther 3:1, Esther 3:10). As the enemy of the Jews he cast Pur, the lot, and plotted to destroy them, but was hanged on the very gallows he had built for Mordecai (Esther 7:10, Esther 9:24).
