Who was Hegai?
Hegai was the king's chamberlain and keeper of the women in the Persian palace at Shushan, who had charge of the maidens gathered for King Ahasuerus (Esther 2:8). Esther won his favor and followed his counsel when her turn came to go in to the king (Esther 2:15).
