Gozan was a region of the Assyrian Empire, on a river of the same name, where the king of Assyria settled the Israelites he carried away captive from Samaria, alongside Halah and Habor (2 Kings 17:6). It is later named among the lands whose gods could not deliver them from Assyria (2 Kings 19:12).
