What is Gath Hepher?
Gath Hepher was the hometown of the prophet Jonah, the son of Amittai (2 Kings 14:25). It is named there as the place whose prophet foretold that Jeroboam would restore the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath to the sea of the plain.
