Ephraim

Who is Ephraim?
Ephraim was the second son born to Joseph in Egypt by Asenath, and the younger brother of Manasseh (Genesis 41:52, Genesis 46:20). When the aged Jacob blessed the two boys, he crossed his hands and set his right hand on the younger, putting Ephraim before Manasseh (Genesis 48:14, Genesis 48:20). His descendants became one of the tribes of Israel.
