Eliezer is a name borne by several men in Scripture. The best known is Eliezer of Damascus, the steward of Abram's house whom Abram expected to inherit while he remained childless (Genesis 15:2). Another is the second son of Moses, so named because, as Moses said, the God of my father was mine help and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh (Exodus 18:4).
