Capernaum

What is Capernaum?
Capernaum was a town on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim, where Jesus settled after leaving Nazareth and based his Galilean ministry (Matthew 4:13). He taught in its synagogue (Mark 1:21, John 6:59), healed the centurion's servant there (Matthew 8:5), and later pronounced judgment on the town for its unbelief (Matthew 11:23).
