Who is Ben-hadad?
Ben-hadad was the name borne by kings of Syria (Aram) who reigned at Damascus. King Asa of Judah bought one Ben-hadad's help against Israel with silver and gold from the temple (1 Kings 15:18), and a Ben-hadad king of Syria besieged Samaria and warred against Israel (1 Kings 20:1).
