Who is Baasha?
Baasha son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against King Nadab, killed him, and reigned over Israel in Tirzah for twenty-four years (1 Kings 15:27, 1 Kings 15:33). He warred with Asa king of Judah all their days and fortified Ramah to blockade him (1 Kings 15:16, 1 Kings 15:17).
