Who is Bar-jesus?
Bar-jesus was a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet at Paphos on Cyprus, also called Elymas, whose name is given as Barjesus (Acts 13:6). When he withstood Barnabas and Saul, seeking to turn the deputy away from the faith, Paul rebuked him (Acts 13:8).
