Bithynia

What is Bithynia?
Bithynia was a region in the north of Asia Minor. Paul and his companions tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them (Acts 16:7). Peter later addressed his first letter to believers scattered through Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia (1 Peter 1:1).
