What is Amorrhite?
Amorrhite is the Douay-Rheims spelling of Amorite, one of the peoples descended from Canaan (Genesis 10:16). The Amorites held the hill country of the land and joined the coalition of kings who gathered against Joshua on this side Jordan (Joshua 9:1).
