Amon

AM-on

Who is Amon?

Amon was a king of Judah, the son of Manasseh, who began to reign at twenty and two years old and reigned two years in Jerusalem (2 Kings 21:18, 2 Kings 21:19). He did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, sacrificing unto the carved images his father Manasseh had made (2 Chronicles 33:22), and his own servants conspired against him and slew him in his house, after which the people made his son Josiah king in his stead (2 Kings 21:23, 2 Kings 21:24).
