Who is Ahijah?

Ahijah is best known as the prophet from Shiloh who tore his new garment into twelve pieces to announce that God would give ten tribes to Jeroboam (1 Kings 11:29, 1 Kings 11:30), and who later pronounced judgment on Jeroboam's house (1 Kings 14:6). Several other men share the name, including the father of King Baasha (1 Kings 15:27) and a Levite over the temple treasuries (1 Chronicles 26:20).
