Who is Amariah?
Amariah is the name of several priests and Levites in Scripture. It marks a link in the high-priestly line of Aaron, where Amariah begat Ahitub (1 Chronicles 6:7), and it names the chief priest whom King Jehoshaphat set over all matters of the LORD in Jerusalem (2 Chronicles 19:11).
