Miscarriage is one of the loneliest griefs, because the people around you may not know what to say, or may not have known what you lost. The Bible's answer is not a neat explanation. It is a God who knew your child before you did, who counts every tear you have cried, and who promises a day when every loss like this is undone. These verses are for tonight and the nights ahead. 6 Scriptures for Miscarriage
“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written.”
Psalm 139:13-16
David describes God watching over the unfinished form of a person in the womb. Not hidden. Already in His book. Your child was seen, named in a sense only God could name, and counted. Nothing about their brief existence was invisible to Him.

God's knowledge of a person precedes their body. Your baby was known before they were formed, and that knowing did not stop when the body stopped. The relationship between your child and the Lord existed before anyone else in the world got to meet them.
