What Does God Say About Feeling Worthless?
Feeling worthless is not humility. It is a lie wearing humility's clothes. Scripture never asks you to think of yourself as nothing, because God never made anything that is nothing. The feeling usually arrives after failure, rejection, or years of hearing the wrong voice, and it settles in like a fact. It is not a fact. The Bible answers it with a different record: who made you, what it cost, and what He calls you now. Read these verses slowly and let the record be corrected.
6 Scriptures for Feeling Worthless?
βFor thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.β
Psalm 139:13-14
David does not say he feels wonderfully made. He says he is, and that his soul knows it right well. Your worth was decided in your mother's womb, before you had done anything to earn it or lose it. You were made on purpose, by hand. The feeling reports late. This came first.

Psalm 8:4-5
David looks up at the night sky and asks the honest question: why would God bother with man at all? Then he answers it. A little lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honour. That is God's own estimate of a human being. It is higher than yours.

Isaiah 43:4
God says this to Israel at their lowest point, in exile, when they had earned nothing. Precious. Honourable. Loved. The worth came from His choice, not their performance. Worth that is given like that cannot be forfeited by a bad year.

Luke 12:6-7
Sparrows were the cheapest thing in the market. Two farthings bought five. Jesus says God has not forgotten one of them, then turns to you: the hairs of your head are numbered. Nobody counts what they do not value. You have been counted.

Ephesians 2:10
Workmanship is the word an artist uses for the piece he is proud of. You are not a rough draft and you are not an accident. God made you, and He prepared work for you to walk in before you ever showed up. A person with an assignment is not a person without worth.

1 Peter 2:9
Peter is writing to scattered, powerless people near the bottom of Roman society. He hands them four titles anyway: chosen, royal, holy, God's own. The world's ranking of you and God's ranking of you are two different documents. Only one of them is permanent.

God, I have been calling worthless what You call precious. I keep a record of my failures and I read it more often than I read Your Word. Correct me. Remind me that You made me on purpose, counted the hairs on my head, and called me Your own. I do not ask to feel important tonight. I ask to believe You. Amen.
