What is Shochoh?
Shochoh was a town belonging to Judah where the Philistines gathered their armies for battle against Israel, pitching between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim (1 Samuel 17:1). This is the setting of the confrontation that led to David's fight with Goliath.
