Shaphat is the name of several men in the Old Testament. Others are Shaphat the son of Hori, the Simeonite sent to search out Canaan (Numbers 13:5), and Shaphat the son of Adlai, who was over the herds in the valleys under David (1 Chronicles 27:29).
