Who is Peninnah?
Peninnah was one of the two wives of Elkanah of Ephraim; she had sons and daughters while the other wife, Hannah, was childless (1 Samuel 1:2). At the yearly sacrifice at Shiloh, Elkanah gave portions to Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters (1 Samuel 1:4).
