Pelonite

What is Pelonite?

Pelonite is the designation carried by two of David's valiant men in the roll of his mighty men. Helez the Pelonite is listed there beside Shammoth the Harorite (1 Chronicles 11:27), and Ahijah the Pelonite is named further down the same roll (1 Chronicles 11:36). Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim, was the seventh captain for the seventh month, and in his course were twenty and four thousand (1 Chronicles 27:10).
