What is Naioth?
Naioth was a place in Ramah where Samuel lived and presided over a company of prophets, and where David fled to escape Saul (1 Samuel 19:18). When Saul's messengers and then Saul himself came there, the Spirit of God came upon them and they prophesied (1 Samuel 19:23).
