Lystra
LIHS-truh
What is Lystra?
Lystra was a city of Lycaonia in Asia Minor where Paul healed a man crippled from birth (Acts 14:8), was hailed as a god by the crowd, then stoned and left for dead. It was also the hometown of Timothy (Acts 16:1), and Paul later recalled the persecutions he endured there (2 Timothy 3:11).
